Life Transitions
Change is an inevitable aspect of life. And yet, it can feel deeply uncomfortable, scary, and disorienting. Whether the change is self-initiated or imposed on us by external circumstances and whether it’s a happy or painful transition, there’s still an underlying sense of loss that needs to be acknowledged and processed. Without honoring what we are letting go of, it is difficult to create meaningful space for the next chapter of our lives. This creates a sense of stuckness: unable to let go of the old version of ourselves or our lives and struggling to fully step into what lies ahead.
You don’t have to struggle through a life transition alone. I create a safe and nourishing container for you to process thoughts and emotions around a life change and clarify your path forward. I incorporate grief counseling, mindfulness practices, and acceptance and commitment therapy to help clients undergoing:
Job or career transition
Academic transition (graduating, starting college/grad school)
Breakup, separation, or divorce
Getting married, moving-in together
Stepping into parenthood or caretaking roles
Relocation
Death of a loved one
Serious medical diagnoses and physical ailments
Spiritual crisis/questioning one’s purpose or meaning of life
Questioning sexual, gender, race, cultural identity
